Jared Holt is an intermedia artist (sculptor).     I deploy material and medium to shape experience. My use of objects is informed by a practice of choosing materials that embody a concept, which guides the viewer to a place of careful design while allowing for interpretation. I describe my practice as a “push and pull,” where materials are used to disseminate information while simultaneously generating ambiguity. The relationship between the viewer and the artist is, therefore, continuously negotiated.
